"Does OnlyFans have an app" is one of the most searched questions about the platform, and the search results are full of store listings that answer yes. They are lying. This page gives the real answer, the safe way to get an app like experience, and the two things people actually want to know underneath the question: is the thing I downloaded real, and can I pay with the method I have.
Why there is no app.
Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and Google Play's developer policies both prohibit apps whose content is sexually explicit or pornographic. OnlyFans permits adult content within its acceptable use policy, and adult content is the platform's largest category. An app that carried the platform's paid content could not pass review, and an app that stripped it out would not be the platform. So there is none, and the platform built the website to behave like an app on a phone instead.
This is not a temporary state. It has been the position of both stores for as long as the platform has existed, and the platform's own help and blog point users to the browser. If that ever changes, this page will change with it.
iPhone: add to home screen.
- 1
Open the site in Safari
Type the address yourself. Do not follow a link from an ad or a message, because fake login pages are the most common phishing route in this niche.
- 2
Tap the share button
The square with an arrow at the bottom of the screen.
- 3
Choose "Add to Home Screen"
Name it whatever you like. The icon appears among your apps and opens the site in its own window without the browser bar.
- 4
Stay logged in
The home screen version keeps its own session. Turn on two factor authentication in the account settings so the session is worth less to anyone who picks up the phone.
Android: add to home screen.
- 1
Open the site in Chrome
Again, type the address rather than following a link.
- 2
Open the menu
The three dots at the top right.
- 3
Choose "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
Chrome offers one or the other depending on the version; both produce an icon that opens the site in its own window.
- 4
Do not sideload anything
An APK file named OnlyFans, from any source, is not from OnlyFans. Android allows installing apps from outside the store, and that is exactly the door the fake apps use.
The home screen version is a web app.
The reason the shortcut feels like an app is that the OnlyFans website is built to be installed as one. The site publishes a web app manifest, the file browsers read to install a site as a progressive web app (PWA). Read on October 2, 2026, the manifest names the app "OnlyFans", sets the display to standalone, which is why the home screen version opens without the browser bar, and starts at onlyfans.com. The page also tells iOS that it can run as a home screen web app. Nothing is downloaded from a store: the browser installs the platform's own website.
| Home screen web app | Anything called OnlyFans in a store or APK site | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it comes from | The browser, from onlyfans.com itself | A developer who is not the platform |
| What you download | Nothing beyond an icon and the site's own files | An app package you cannot inspect |
| Updates | Arrive with the website; no store update to wait for | Whatever the developer pushes |
| Login | Your account, on the platform's own domain | A form that may send your password elsewhere |
| Payment | The platform's own checkout | Store charges for "access" the platform does not sell |
| Features | The full site: feed, messages, subscriptions, settings | Unknown, and none of the platform's |
So when people ask whether OnlyFans has an app, the precise answer is that it doesn't have a store app, and it does have an installable web app that iOS and Android users can add in a few taps. That is the version this page recommends for fans and creators on mobile, because it is the only one that is certainly the platform. If the site will not load at all, the problem is not the app; see is OnlyFans down? for how to check.
What OFTV is.
OFTV is the platform's own safe for work streaming app, available in the app stores because it contains no adult content: creator shows, cooking, fitness, music, interviews. It is free, it does not require an OnlyFans account, and it does not give access to any creator's paid page. It exists in part so the brand has a presence in the stores it is otherwise excluded from. If you installed OFTV expecting the platform, you installed the right company's app and the wrong product; the platform is still the website.
Fake OnlyFans apps.
Because the real app does not exist and the demand does, both stores and every APK site carry apps that use the name. They come in three kinds, and none is harmless.
| Kind | What it does | How to spot it |
|---|---|---|
| Phishing shell | Shows a login form, sends your email and password to someone else, then opens the real site so you notice nothing | Asks for a login before showing anything; developer name is not Fenix International; reviews mention "logged out" or "account stolen" |
| Subscription trap | Charges a weekly fee through the store for "premium access" that does not exist | In app purchases listed for a service that is free to join; "unlock creators" language |
| Malware APK | Outside the stores, a file that installs something else with the app | Any APK named OnlyFans, from anywhere |
The rule is short: the platform has no app, so an app is fake. If you already installed one and logged in through it, change your password on the real site, turn on two factor authentication, and uninstall it. Contact your bank if you paid through it.
Apple Pay, PayPal and the checkout.
Two of the most common searches around the app question are about payment: can OnlyFans take Apple Pay, and does OnlyFans accept PayPal. At the time this page was checked, the checkout accepts major credit and debit cards, and neither Apple Pay nor PayPal is offered as an option. PayPal has for years declined to serve adult subscription merchants, and Apple Pay is tied to apps and Safari checkouts the platform does not use. Prepaid and virtual cards from card networks generally work where the bank allows adult merchants, which is the route for people who do not want the charge on a main account; the guide on paying for OnlyFans anonymously or without a credit card covers what works and what is a scam.
Any page offering to take PayPal or Apple Pay "for OnlyFans" is a third party asking for your money. The platform is the only merchant, and it charges the card you enter on its own domain.
For creators: posting from a phone.
Creators run their pages from the same browser version. Uploads, scheduling, stories, live streams, messages and statistics all work from a phone, with the home screen shortcut making it feel like an app. Two practical notes: large video uploads are more reliable on wifi and from a desktop, and the tracking links that measure promotion live in the settings, reachable from any device. Creators who run promotion accounts should keep the platform in its own browser window, logged in with two factor on, and never in a third party app promising a "creator dashboard".
For fans: using the platform on mobile safely.
Most subscribers use OnlyFans on a phone, and most of the problems they run into on mobile are not about the missing app. They are about a link clicked in a hurry, a subscription forgotten, or a session left open on a shared device. The checklist below covers what fans should set up once, whether they use the home screen web app or a normal browser tab. None of it needs a download.
- Type the address once, then use the icon. After the home screen web app is installed, open the platform from the icon rather than clicking links in messages or ads.
- Turn on two factor authentication. A phone is easy to lose, and a logged in session is the whole account.
- Know what renews. Under the OnlyFans Terms of Service a subscription renews automatically at the current price unless auto renew is switched off on the creator's page. The guide to unsubscribing shows where that switch is.
- Use the website for account changes. Payment cards, subscriptions and account deletion are all managed in the site's settings; no third-party app can do it for you. See how to delete an OnlyFans account.
- Ignore apps that promise downloads. Apps offering to save creators' videos are not from the platform. The terms let fans view content on OnlyFans for their own lawful and personal use, which is a narrower thing than keeping copies; the page on screenshots on OnlyFans covers what that means in practice.
- Get help from the real support. If something in the mobile site fails, the OnlyFans support guide lists the official routes; no app or chat outside the platform is support.
Creators get the same advice for their own accounts, with one addition: their team members and chatters should never be asked to install an app to reach the account. Everything a team does happens in the website, and any tool that needs your password to work is a risk to the page and to your subscribers.
The absence of a store app and the existence of OFTV were checked against the Apple App Store and Google Play listings and the platform's own blog on September 24, 2026. The web app manifest and the iOS web app setting were read from onlyfans.com and its published manifest file on October 2, 2026; the auto renewal and personal use points are from the OnlyFans Terms of Service. Store policies were read from Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and Google Play's Developer Program Policies on the same date. Checkout payment methods were read from the platform's help pages; they can change, and the date at the top of this page moves when they do.
