Searches for how to unsubscribe on OnlyFans, how to cancel an OnlyFans subscription and how to unfollow someone on OnlyFans are three versions of one worry: will I keep being charged. The answer is no, once the switch is off, and the rest of this page is the detail.
How to unsubscribe.
- 1
Log in on the website
There is no OnlyFans app; use the browser on any device. Your subscriptions are listed under your profile, and each one links to the creator's page.
- 2
Open the creator's page
The subscription control sits on the profile itself, where you subscribed. The control is the auto renew switch the terms name, shown with the subscription on the creator's profile; this site has not checked its exact label on a fan account, so look for the renewal switch beside the subscription price.
- 3
Switch auto renew off
The terms name this as the fan's way to stop the next charge: a subscription renews unless the fan has switched off the auto renew feature on the creator's account. Confirm if asked.
- 4
Check the renewal date
The page shows when the current period ends. Until then you have access; after it, the subscription lapses and nothing is charged.
- 5
Unfollow if you want the page gone
Once the paid period has ended, or on a free page at any time, unfollow removes the page from your feed and your list. On a paid page, unfollowing before the period ends may end your access early; turn off auto renew instead and let it lapse.
On a computer or on mobile.
The process is the same on every device, because OnlyFans runs in the browser and there is no store app to cancel through. On a computer you click; on a phone you tap; the menus are the same, only arranged for a narrower screen. If you added the site to your home screen, that icon opens the same website and works for canceling too. What differs is how easy it is to miss the switch on a small screen, so the steps below include the checks we would make on mobile.
- 1
Find the list of your subscriptions
Click or tap your profile icon and open your subscriptions. The list shows the creators you subscribe to; the active subscriptions are the ones that can still renew.
- 2
Choose the creator
Open the page of the creator you want to cancel. If you subscribe to several, repeat the process for each one; there is no single button that cancels every subscription.
- 3
Turn auto renew off and confirm
Use the renewal switch beside the subscription. If the platform offers options, such as giving a reason, you can choose one or skip it; the reason does not change what happens to billing.
- 4
Check that it saved
Reload the page. The subscription should now show an end date rather than a renewal date. On mobile, this check is the one most often skipped.
If the page will not load on your phone, try the full site on a computer or check whether the platform is having problems with the outage check. Do not cancel through any app that calls itself OnlyFans; the guide to whether OnlyFans has an app explains why every such app is fake.
Cancel, disable, turn off: one switch.
People describe the same action in many ways, and support threads get confusing because of it. In the OnlyFans Terms of Service there is one control for stopping a subscription's billing, the auto renew feature on the creator's account, and every common phrase points at it. The table maps the words people search for to what they mean on the platform, so the right action is clear whichever word you started with.
| What people say | What it means on the platform | Effect on billing |
|---|---|---|
| Cancel my subscription | Turn auto renew off for that creator | No charge at the next renewal date |
| Disable auto renew | The same switch | Same |
| Stop billing | The same switch, or removing every payment method | No further renewals; paid periods run to the end |
| Unsubscribe | Usually the same switch; sometimes used to mean unfollow | Only the switch affects billing |
| Cancellation of the account | Deleting the account | Ends everything permanently; not needed to stop charges |
Unsubscribe, unfollow, delete.
| Action | What it does | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Auto renew off | Stops the next charge; access continues to the end of the paid period | You want to stop paying for one creator |
| Unfollow | Removes the page from your feed and lists | A free page, or a paid page after the period ends |
| Remove payment card | Subscriptions without a valid card cannot renew | You want every subscription to stop and do not want to visit each page |
| Block or restrict the creator | Stops contact between you | The problem is messages, not money |
| Delete the account | Closes everything; no access afterwards; cannot be undone | Only when you want the account itself gone; see how to delete |
What happens to access and money.
Turning off auto renew does not end access; it ends renewal. You have paid for a period, and the period runs its course. When it ends the subscription lapses, the feed closes, and no charge follows. Paid messages and posts you bought stay bought; they are purchases, not part of the subscription, and remain in your messages while your account exists. Nothing is refunded for the remainder of a period, because the terms treat a paid period as a completed purchase and describe refunds only in the platform's own discretion and in cases of platform failure. If a charge appears after you switched auto renew off, the switch did not take, or the charge is for a different creator; check the subscriptions list before contacting support, and read the chargeback guide before contacting your bank, because a chargeback made in bad faith can cost you the account under the terms.
Billing details that catch people out.
Most unexpected charges after canceling come from a small number of billing rules in the Terms of Service that few subscribers read. None of them is hidden; they are simply easy to miss. The checklist below covers each one, with what to do about it, so that the charges stop where you expect them to.
- A second card keeps renewals going. The terms say that if you have given more than one payment method and a payment from the first fails, the platform will use the other. Removing one card is not enough if another is still saved.
- A price rise is not charged automatically. The terms list an increased subscription price among the cases in which a subscription is not charged again on its own. If a creator raised the price, the platform should not bill you the new price without you choosing to subscribe again.
- Wallet credits do not come back. Prepaid wallet credits are non-refundable under the terms. Canceling a subscription does not return unused credit; spend it or leave it.
- Prices are in US dollars. All prices are charged in USD, and your bank may add currency conversion fees. A charge that looks larger than the price is often that conversion, not a second subscription.
- Purchases are separate from renewals. Paid messages, tips and posts are charged immediately when you buy them, not on the renewal date, so they can appear on your statement on days you did not expect.
- Your data stays in the account. Payment history and subscription records stay in your account settings after you cancel, which is where to look before asking support or your bank about any charge.
What the creator sees.
The creator is not sent a message when you switch auto renew off. What they see is what their subscriber list and statistics show: a subscription that is set to expire rather than renew, and later a subscriber count that goes down by one. They see your username and display name, as they always did, and never your card, email or real name; the privacy guide covers the whole list. Creators with a worked inbox often send a message to subscribers whose renewals are off, which is how many fans learn that the creator can tell. That message is marketing, not a breach of anything.
When the switch is not enough.
- A bundle or a promotional period. Discounted first months and multi month bundles follow the same rule: auto renew off stops the next charge at the end of whatever period was bought. Check which period you are in.
- A free trial. Read the renewal setting shown when you claimed it and switch renewal off there. The free trials guide covers the end of a trial.
- Many subscriptions at once. Removing the payment card stops everything from renewing. It does not stop periods already paid for.
- A creator who deleted their page. The terms say deleted subscriptions cannot renew; you are not charged for a page that no longer exists.
- A charge you do not recognize. The statement descriptor is the platform's payment entity, not the creator's name, so a charge you do not recognize may be a subscription you forgot. Match it against the subscriptions list first; then support.
- Cannot log in to switch it off. Recover the account through the login page first; a chargeback is the last resort and has consequences under the terms.
For creators: reading cancellations.
The other side of this page: renewals are the fourth lever of income and the one that compounds. A subscriber who turns off auto renew has told you something two to four weeks before they leave, and the statistics show it. Pages that hold their renewal rate do three things: a cadence the subscriber can predict, a reason to be there next month announced before this month ends, and a message to expiring subscribers that offers something rather than asks why. The content ideas page has the renewal column; the growth strategy audit reads the renewal rate and says whether it is the lever to pull.
The renewal rules, the auto renew feature, the refund position and the consequence of bad faith chargebacks are from the OnlyFans Terms of Service, read September 25, 2026, as are the billing points added on October 2, 2026: the fallback to a second payment method, non-refundable wallet credits, charging in USD and immediate charging of purchases. The exact label and position of the control were not checked on a fan account for this page; the terms name the control, and the page says where to look for it.
