How to delete an OnlyFans account, and what happens after you do.

Deleting an OnlyFans account takes a minute in settings and then behaves differently depending on which side of the platform you are on. A fan account closes within a reasonable time and stops charging. A creator account stays open until the last active subscription has run out, pays out whatever is owed, and then closes. This page gives the steps, what to do before you press the button, what the platform's terms say happens to your subscriptions, earnings and content, and the quieter alternatives when what you actually want is to stop being charged or stop being seen.

Short answer

Log in on the website, open settings, go to the account section, and choose delete account at the bottom. Confirm. Fans are deleted within a reasonable time; creators when their last subscription expires.

Before you do it: cancel or let subscriptions lapse if you are a fan, and withdraw your balance and download your statements if you are a creator. After deletion you cannot get back into the account or anything in it. That is the platform's rule, from its terms, not a warning for effect.

People searching "how to delete OnlyFans account" want one of three things: the charges to stop, the account to stop existing permanently, or, as a creator, to close a page. The button in the settings menu is the same for all three, and it is the wrong tool for the first one. There is no separate deactivate option; the platform's terms describe deletion only, and deletion is permanent. Read the alternatives section before you delete if what you want is only to stop paying, because a deleted account cannot be reopened and a cancelled subscription can be resubscribed any time.

Before you delete.

  • Fans: deal with subscriptions. The terms say no further subscriptions are charged after deletion, but deletion is not instant. Turn off auto renew on each subscription or cancel them first, so nothing renews in the gap. The unsubscribe guide has the steps.
  • Fans: save any purchase records you need. Your statement of payments lives in the account. If you need it for a dispute or a budget, export or screenshot it before the account closes.
  • Creators: withdraw the balance. Unpaid earnings are paid out before deletion under the terms, but pending amounts inside the platform's hold period take their normal time. A withdrawal first removes one dependency.
  • Creators: download statements and content. Earnings statements are your tax record and you will not have access to them after deletion. Download every month you have. Download your content too; the platform is not your backup.
  • Creators: tell your subscribers. The account stays open until their subscriptions expire. A pinned post saying the page is closing and where to find you next is the difference between a clean exit and a hundred confused messages.
  • Creators: check the agency contract. If an agency has access to the account or a claim on earnings, deleting the account mid contract is a dispute. The management contract page explains what an exit clause should say.

The steps.

  1. 1

    Log in on the website

There is no OnlyFans app, so this is the browser on any device. Use the account's email and password; if you signed in with a linked social account, use that.

  2. 2

Open settings, then the account section

Settings is behind your profile icon. The account section holds your username, email, phone and, at the bottom, the deletion option. The terms of service call this the "User Account" section.

  3. 3

    Choose delete account

The platform asks you to confirm and may ask for a verification step, a code or your password, in the same way it does for other changes to the profile such as a new username or email. Complete the verification and the account is queued to close.

  4. 4

    Wait

A fan account is deleted within a reasonable time, in the terms' own words. A creator account is not deleted on the spot: it stays open until every active subscription has expired, and then the platform pays unpaid earnings and deletes it. You will lose access at the end of that process, not the start.

On a phone: iPhone and Android.

Most users delete from a phone, and the process is the same as on a computer because the platform runs in the browser on every device. On iPhone that is Safari or any other browser; on Android it is usually Chrome. If you added OnlyFans to your home screen, the icon opens the same website, so you can use it for these steps. Where a desktop guide says click, tap; the menus are the same, only narrower.

  1. 1

Open the site and log in

Use the browser or the home screen icon. Make sure you are in the account you want to close; if you have more than one, each is deleted separately from its own settings.

  2. 2

    Tap your profile icon

The menu that opens contains settings. On a small screen it may sit behind the icon rather than in a side bar.

  3. 3

    Go to the account section

Scroll to the bottom, past username, email and phone, to the delete option.

  4. 4

    Confirm and complete any check

If a code, a captcha or your password is asked for, enter it exactly and confirm. Then close the browser tab and remove the home screen icon if you no longer want it.

There is nothing to uninstall, because there is no store app. If you have an app on your phone that calls itself OnlyFans, it is not the platform, and deleting your account inside it does not delete your account; remove it and change your password on the real site.

What happens to a fan account.

Under the terms, a fan account is deleted within a reasonable time and no further subscriptions are charged. Once deleted, you have no access to the former account or any content you paid for: purchased messages, unlocked posts and the rest go with it, because the purchase was access, not a copy. Refunds are not part of deletion; if a subscription renewed the day before you deleted, the terms treat that as a completed purchase. The card record on your bank statement is not affected by deletion either; what the descriptor says is covered in the privacy guide for subscribers.

What happens to a creator account.

The creator rule is the one people are surprised by. The terms say a creator's account remains open until all active fan subscriptions expire; only then does the platform pay all unpaid creator earnings and delete the account. Subscriptions are deleted and cannot be renewed, so no fan is charged again, but a fan who paid for a month keeps that month. In practice that means a creator who deletes today with monthly subscribers still has a live page for up to a month, still receiving messages, and should behave as if it were open until it is not.

Content, data and co-authored posts.

Two clauses in the terms decide what survives. First, deleting your account does not automatically delete co-authored content posted by another creator: if you appeared in a collaboration on someone else's page, that post stays on their page unless they remove it or you withdraw consent, which the terms allow a participant to do. Second, after deletion the platform deals with your data under its privacy policy, which means records the company is required to keep, verification and payment records among them, are kept for the periods that policy sets rather than erased on the day. If you want a copy of your personal data or want to exercise a deletion right beyond closing the account, that is a request to the platform's support under the privacy policy, not a setting.

Fans and leaked content

Deleting your account does nothing about content of yours that has been copied off the platform, and it does nothing about a creator's content you are worried about. Those are takedown matters for the platform's support and the sites hosting the copies. Deletion only ends your own access.

Protect your data before and after.

Deleting an account is also a security step, and it works best as part of a short clean up rather than on its own. The account will no longer exist, but the email address, the card and any linked sign in still do, and those are what a stranger would need to reach anything else. The checklist below takes ten minutes and leaves no loose ends in your digital life connected to the account you are closing.

  • Remove your card first. Delete the payment method in the account's payment settings before you delete the account, so nothing can be charged during the waiting time.
  • Check for other accounts. If you ever opened a second account with another email, it is a separate account and is not closed by deleting this one.
  • Unlink sign in with another service. The terms allow registering with an approved third party instead of a password. If you did, review that service's list of connected apps after deletion and remove the link.
  • Change a reused password. If the OnlyFans password is used anywhere else, change it there. Deleting the account does not undo a password that may already have leaked.
  • Keep your own records. Statements, receipts and, for creators, earnings reports. You will no longer be able to log in to fetch them.
  • Know what is retained. After deletion the platform deals with your data under its privacy policy. A request about that data goes to the platform's support, not to a setting.

Alternatives to deleting.

If what you want isDo this instead
To stop being chargedTurn off auto renew or unsubscribe. The account stays, the charges stop, you keep the option of coming back. See how to unsubscribe.
To remove a payment methodDelete the card in the payment settings. Subscriptions without a valid card lapse.
To stop a creator or fan contacting youBlock or restrict the account. Restriction hides you from them without closing anything.
A creator who wants a pauseTurn off new subscriptions and let the page rest. Your history, statistics and subscribers stay. Deletion throws them away.
A creator moving to another platformAnnounce the move, run both pages through a transition, and delete only when the last paying month has ended. The platform comparison covers what each alternative wants from you.

If you cannot delete.

The usual reasons: you are not logged into the account you think you are; the confirmation step did not complete; you are a creator and the account is in its waiting period, which looks like nothing happened; or the account is suspended, in which case settings may be unavailable and the route is the platform's support and, for a contested suspension, its appeals policy, both named in the terms. If the site itself is misbehaving, the outage check tells that apart from an account problem in two minutes. Support is reached through the site; the support guide explains what to send so the first reply is useful.

How we checked

Every statement about what happens on deletion is from the Account deletion clause of the OnlyFans Terms of Service, read September 25, 2026, together with the clauses on co-authored content and on account suspension and appeals. The location of the option is as the terms describe it. Nothing here is a screenshot walkthrough because the platform's settings change and its terms do not.

Questions about deleting an account.

Short answers. Open a lock to read.

How do I delete my OnlyFans account permanently?
Log in on the website, open settings from your profile icon, go to the account section, and choose delete account at the bottom. Confirm when asked. All deletion is permanent; there is no temporary deactivate option.
How long does it take to delete an OnlyFans account?
For a fan, within a reasonable time under the terms. For a creator, the account stays open until every active subscription has expired, which can be up to a month or more, then earnings are paid and the account is deleted.
Will I still be charged after deleting?
The terms say no further subscriptions are charged after a fan account is deleted. Turn off auto renew before deleting so nothing renews during the waiting time.
Can I reactivate a deleted OnlyFans account?
No. After deletion you have no access to the former account or its content. A new account is a new registration, and a creator would verify again.
What happens to my earnings if I delete as a creator?
The platform pays all unpaid creator earnings before deleting the account, after your last active subscription expires. Withdraw your available balance first anyway.
Does deleting my account delete my content everywhere?
It removes your account and its content. Co-authored content posted by another creator is not automatically deleted; you can withdraw consent to it separately. Copies made off the platform are unaffected.
Can I delete OnlyFans from the app?
There is no OnlyFans app. Deletion is done on the website in a browser, on any device.
Will a deleted account remove the charge from my bank statement?
No. Completed payments stay on your statement. Deletion stops future charges; it does not refund or erase past ones.
How do I delete my OnlyFans account on Android or iPhone?
The same way as on a computer: open the website in your phone's browser, tap your profile icon, open settings, go to the account section and choose delete account. Confirm, and enter any code or captcha you are asked for.
I have two OnlyFans accounts. Do I delete both?
Yes, separately. Each account has its own settings and its own delete option, and closing one does nothing to the other. Log in to each and check the username before you confirm.
Does deleting my account protect my privacy?
It ends the account and your access, which is a large part. It does not erase records the platform keeps under its privacy policy, payments already on your bank statement, or copies of content made elsewhere. Pair it with the security checklist above.
Is deactivating the same as deleting?
The terms describe deletion only. Turning off auto renew, unsubscribing or removing your card are the ways to pause without losing the account.
